FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: projectile comprises a shell holding two cores installed serially. The first core is located closer to a head part of the projectile and is made of a more solid material, and the second core - from a heavier material. The first core contacts along its entire side surface with an inner surface of the shell. The second core directly adjoins to the first core. There is a cavity in the second core. Behind the second core there is an open cavity formed by the inner surface of the rear part of the shell. The total depth of the specified cavities makes 0.05-0.2 of the projectile length.
EFFECT: higher damage effect of a projectile and improved stability of its ballistic characteristics.
