FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: projectile comprises a shell, inside of which there is a composite core consisting of three serially arranged parts. Density of the material in the middle part of the core is higher than the density of the material of the front and rear parts of the core. At the side of the tail part along the projectile axis there is a dead cavity, the depth of which makes 0.05-0.9 of the projectile length.
EFFECT: improved ballistic characteristics of a projectile.
