FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: analysed liquid is placed into a two-electrode measuring cell; additional capacitors of different capacitance are connected in parallel to electrodes of the cell; the decay time constant of voltage between electrodes for each connected capacitor is measured and the relaxation time constant of space charge of the liquid is determined using the formula: where: τ is the relaxation time constant of space charge of the liquid; τ1 is the decay time constant of voltage between electrodes for the connected capacitor C1, τ2 is the decay time constant of voltage between electrodes for the connected capacitor C2; C1 and C2 are the capacitance values of the connected capacitors. Disclosed also is a device which realises the said method.
EFFECT: high accuracy.
