FIELD: fire-prevention facilities.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to fire-prevention equipment. The method to prevent development of a fire in an electric plant includes identification of at least one fire factor, generation of a signal about identification of a fire factor, to at least one control facility, initiation of fire-prevention equipment. Whenever the control facility detects a signal of fire factor identification, a resistance is connected between a phase wire and grounding, which imitates damage of electric equipment insulation, with subsequent actuation of a protective cutout device that reacts to damage of insulation.
EFFECT: method provides for highly reliable prevention of fires in electric plants of different purpose.
