FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: cutting plate features polygonal shape and comprises two opposite face surfaces and peripheral surface located there between, central surface located between face surfaces to intersect cutting plate, through hole extending between face surfaces, cutting edge formed at intersection of every face surface with peripheral surface. Note here that cutting edge is divided into identical cutting sections, each being located between two polygonal vertices and including main cutting edge and auxiliary cutting edge conjugated therewith, tangential thrust surface located between cutting edge and through hole. Note also that main rear surface on peripheral surface extends from every main cutting edge to form oblique angle with first reference surface extending through main cutting edge and parallel with medium plane. Auxiliary rear surface extends on peripheral surface from every auxiliary cutting edge to form internal acute angle with second reference plane crossing auxiliary cutting edge parallel with medium plane. Note here that every main cutting edge has first curved shape while every auxiliary cutting edge has second curved shape. Note here that first curved shape is convex on lateral view of cutting plate while second curved shape is concave on said view.
EFFECT: better chips removal.
