FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in oxygen supply to molten steel in order to remove carbon contained in it; determination of actual value of carbon flow leaving the molten metal; calculation of the specified value of outlet carbon flow, which is determined with the amount of supplied oxygen and content of carbon in molten metal, and comparison of actual value and specified value with each other. In case actual value is behind the specified value of carbon flow leaving the molten metal, to molten steel there supplied is carbon as a measure to prevent boiling effect. Control of oxygen supply to molten metal is used as an additional measure.
EFFECT: preventing sudden discharge of carbon oxide from molten steel.
