SUBSTANCE: method of determining deviation of the parameter of a flow meter comprises steps for measuring differential pressure on at least a section of the flow meter and determining the expected differential pressure based on known static viscosity of the fluid. The measured differential pressure is compared with the expected differential pressure based on the measured flow rate and deviation of the parameter of the flow meter is determined if the difference between the measured differential pressure and the expected differential pressure exceeds a threshold limit.
EFFECT: high accuracy of diagnosing a flow meter.
