FIELD: personal use articles.
SUBSTANCE: according to one version of this invention implementation, an electric vacuum cleaner comprises the main body of the vacuum cleaner, where there is an electric fan. The electric vacuum cleaner comprises an air channel connected as capable of communication with the suction side of the electric fan. The electric vacuum cleaner comprises a photodetector, which includes a light-emitting part, which emits light inside an air channel, and a light-receiving part, which is located opposite to the light-emitting part and receives light emitted by the light-emitting part, at the same time the photodetector determines the quantity of dust passing through the air channel on the basis of the light emission value from the light-emitting part and the light value received to the light-receiving part. The electric vacuum cleaner comprises a control facility to control at least operation of an electric fan. The electric vacuum cleaner additionally comprises a detector facility, which detects photodetector contamination before the control facility actuates the electric fan after power supply. The electric vacuum cleaner has an additional facility, which carries out the preset operation on the basis of the photodetector contamination, determined by the detector facility.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of a vacuum cleaner.
