FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: layer of metal alloy that contains at least two metallic elements, are continuously applied to substrate (S) by means of vacuum deposition device (1). This device contains a device (7, 17) for application of coating using a steam jet sprayed onto substrate (S) at the velocity of sound. The steam consists of at least two metallic elements already mentioned above at a given and constant relative content, and it is obtained by evaporation of the metal alloy bath consisting of these elements at their original content. Also, the initial composition of the bath is kept constant during the coating process.
EFFECT: simplified coating deposition technology, a coating of permanent composition and thickness.
