FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: sealing gasket comprises a supportive medium and an annular sealing member. The supportive medium is equipped with a radially directed holder overhanging the flanges of the joint, and is made of two parts, connected together to form a cavity to partially accommodate an annular outer edge of the annular sealing member. The first part of the supportive medium is the ring with the said holder and bore under the seal of the annular sealing member and the second part is an annular segment that covers more than half of the outer edge of the front surface of the first part of the support means.
EFFECT: invention improves reliability of the flange joint.
