SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to ultra-fast rechargeable metal-ion battery with low flammability, which can be used as an energy source for electric vehicles or portable electronic devices. Metal-ion battery includes: anode (1) containing aluminum, cathode (2) containing layered active material and electrolyte (3) located between anode and cathode, to maintain reversible deposition and dissolution of aluminum on anode and reversible intercalation and deintercalation of anions on cathode, wherein the cathode is made on the basis of porous pyrolytic graphite, and the electrolyte is an ionic anhydrous liquid.

EFFECT: high cyclic stability of the battery at different current densities.
