FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bore burnishing. Static load is applied by hydraulic cylinder to deforming tool along machined surface and intermittent pulse load by another hydraulic cylinder is applied via waveguide and hammer. Waveguide acts on deforming element. Intermittent pulsed load hydraulic cylinder is fitted on static load cylinder rod to slide thereon. Waveguide and hammer are made up of sleeves to translate on static load hydraulic cylinder rod. Deforming element is arranged on rod and made up of tapered helical spring with, at least, three deforming coils and truncated-cone outer surface. First turn of said spring is rigidly jointed with chamfer disk while the last turn is rigidly jointed with gaging disk.

EFFECT: expanded machining performances, deeper hardened surface layer.
