FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing mesoporous chromium (III) terephthalate which can be used to produce heterogeneous catalysts. The method involves reaction of a mixture of chromium (III) nitrate and terephthalic acid in aqueous solution while heating. Heating is carried out in a closed volume at a rate of 1-1.5°/min to 220°C and the holding at that temperature for 6 hours. After cooling to room temperature, the obtained solid product is cleaned by successively treating with hot N,N-dimethylformamide and ethanol.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain mesoporous chromium (III) terephthalate with high content of mobile (labile) nitrate ions, which provides high sorption capacity of anionic complexes.
