FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus for testing a hair sample has a measurement region which can hold a hair sample and an image forming unit for receiving light flux reflected from the measurement region. The image forming unit forms an image of the hair sample lying in the measurement region. The apparatus further contains a spectral analysis unit configured to receive light flux. The spectral analysis unit outputs hair sample spectral analysis results in accordance with the received light flux.

EFFECT: invention enables to check whether the required hair sample is located in the measurement region.
