FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes chloration of initial raw material and further distillation and sublimation of cuprous chloride. The sublimation is carried out at a temperature exceeding 365°C in inert gas current with cuprous chloride passing into gaseous phase in a form of cuprous chloride (I).
EFFECT: decrease of temperature of cuprous chloride passing into gaseous phase and prevention of hydrolysis by water vapours that allows cuprous chloride extraction in pure form.
