SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a microfluidic device, having a fluid inlet channel, a fluid outlet channel and a microchannel passing between the fluid inlet channel and the fluid outlet channel and linked with them through a fluid medium; formation fluid is fed under pressure into the microchannel through the fluid inlet channel; stabilised flow of formation fluid through the microchannel and from the fluid outlet channel is established; formation of in the formation fluid in the microchannel is initiated; and one or more thermophysical characteristics of the formation fluid are determined based on the behaviour of bubbles formed in the formation fluid in the microchannel.
EFFECT: high accuracy, reliability and information content of measurements.
