FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to application of film material onto gradually displaced sheets, particularly, to sheets of securities. At first step, separate sheets are displaced in sheet feed direction. At second step, at least, one film material continuous tape is applied on separate sheets in direction, in fact, parallel with aforesaid direction to make continuous flow of sheets jointed by said continuous film material tape. At third step, said continuous film material tape is cut so that to separate continuous flow of sheets in separate sheets with film material fragments applied thereon. Cutting is performed at sheet points so that said fragments do not extend beyond sheet front and rear edges.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of application.
