FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises tensioning drum 1 fitted on car 2 to displace in frame guides 3. Tensioner drive consists of vertical reduction gear 4 with reel 5 on low-speed shaft and brake 6 on high-speed shaft. Reduction gear is mounted on tensioning drum car 2 with clearance 7. Said reduction gear is articulated by chain gearing 8 and electromagnetic coupling 9 with tensioning drum shaft 11. End of steel cable rope 12 is secured on reel while its free end 13 is fastened at frame rear section. Reel with said cable rope is arranged along conveyor lengthwise axis 14. Torques transmitted by said electromagnetic coupling are defined by the following relationship: Mc=0.5 T D/(iricgη), where Mc is maximum coupling torque, Nm; T is designed braking force developed by tensioning drum, N; D is mean cable rope winding diameter, m; ir is reduction gear rear ratio; icg is chain gearing gear ratio; η is total efficiency of reduction gear and chain gearing.
EFFECT: decreased sizes of work zone at conveyor tail section, simplified design.
