FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an improved method for combined production of N-methylcyclohexylamine and dicyclohexylamine. The method involves catalytic alkylation of cyclohexylamine with methanol at 160-200°C in gas phase in a flow reactor in a hydrogen current on a copper-zinc-chromium-aluminium catalyst, followed by extraction of products via fractionation. Dicyclohexylamine is first added to the starting mixture in molar ratio cyclohexylamine : methanol : dicyclohexylamine of 1:(1-2):1.
EFFECT: method increases output of N-methylcyclohexylamine.
