FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: method of flame protection against action of wind gusts consists in installation (with annular gap) of flame head into shaped shell which is made of insulated plates located with a gap along the shell perimetre, with further breakdown of wind gust into several vertically oriented insulated jets; when the wind stream leaves the shell and enters the head, there measured is its direction when it passed through each gap; for that purpose, the shell plates are located so that projection of gaps between them for stream inlet and outlet cross at their projection to vertical plane. Plates are installed at an angle of 15-75°, mainly 45°, to the shell bottom. Plate width is 0.25-0.33, mainly 0.27, of geometrical body perimetre length; at that, gap between them is 0.25-0.33, mainly 0.27 of geometrical body perimetre length. Number of plates is 28-40, mainly 36. Distance from plates to external surface of head is (0.1-0.5)D, where: D - diameter of shaped shell of wind protection.

EFFECT: protection of flame against action of wind loads, namely against flame blow-out with wind gusts, and effective mixture formation of burnt components with air is provided.
