FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: child's venous blood is taken; erythrocytes are sedimented and washed in a cold washing medium, pre-incubated for 3 hours at 37°C; the suspension is sedimented, while erythrocytes are washed for external lithium removal. Thereafter erythrocytes in portions each of 0.1 ml are transferred onto a sodium-free medium 1 ml, incubated at temperature 37°C, on the 60th minute of the incubation, the erythrocyte suspension is sampled, centrifuged for two minutes; a supernatant is cautiously gathered and diluted with tri-distilled water; the lithium content in magnesium and sodium media is measured by emission atomic absorption spectrophotometry in a spectrophotometer; if observing the sodium-lithium exchange transport rate in an erythrocyte membrane exceeding 258 mkM Li/l.cl./hour, atopic dermatitis in children is diagnosed.
EFFECT: use of the technique enables high accuracy diagnosis of atopic dermatitis in children.
