FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: green iron ore pellets are fed into grid system with moving fire-grate wherein pellets are heated successively in drying chamber, dehydration chamber and preheating chamber in pellets transfer over fire-grate. Then, pellets, are roasted in rotary furnace including furnace burner to cool down the pellets. Gas fuel is forced into dehydration chamber via multiple burners arranged at 1/3 of chamber entire length to 0.98 of said length relative to chamber inlet making the length measurement datum point. Note here that said GAS fuel is burnt in said chamber with oxygen retained in preheating chamber off GAS and forced into dehydration chamber to increase inside temperature therein except for chamber inlet zone.
EFFECT: higher yield of high-strength pellets.
