FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; production of the iron-ore pellets.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular, to production of the iron-ore pellets. The wet conditioned pellets produced by pelletizing of the charge by the pelletizer are placed in a layer on the conveyer belt. Then the pellets are conveyed to the calcining machine and placed in a layer on the fire grate of the calcining machine and conduct the thermal treatment based on suction of the forehearth gases through the layer and removal of the waste forehearth gases into the aerosphere through the smoke duct and the smoke pipe. At transportation of the layer of the wet conditioned pellets to the calcining machine it is subjected to blowing-through by the vertical streams of the hot air, which is heated up by the heat recuperation of the waste forehearth gases in the heat exchanger mounted in the smoke duct. The streams are arranged in the staggered order with a step equal to 1-5 diameters of the stream and spaced from the surface of the pellets equal to 0.5 - 10.0 diameters of the stream. The invention will ensure reduction of consumption of the fuel used for the thermal treatment of pellets.
EFFECT: the invention ensures reduction of consumption of the fuel used for the thermal treatment of pellets.
