SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of alerting mobile communication devices on an emergency situation, involving detection of an emergency situation by one or more external safety systems, transmitting information on the emergency situation to a mobile communication device and switching off by the mobile communication device of its internal devices which are not used for safety.

EFFECT: possibility of automatically switching off devices not needed during an emergency situation so that said devices do not distract a person during an emergency situation; disclosed device enables to do without a monitoring and dispatch centre, as well as without standard communication channels, such as a public telephone network, cellular communication, the Internet and Intranet.
