SUBSTANCE: method involves using a system consisting of user terminals and a set of tracking and notification devices lying inside monitored facility, which are fitted with sensors for monitoring parameters of the monitored facility and transceiving devices, through which the tracking and notification devices are connected to each other and to the user terminals over a radio link into the self-organising local area network of tracking and notification devices. The structure of the self-organising local area network of tracking and notification devices enables to create an information chain in which a signal from one tracking and notification device to another is transmitted either directly over the radio link or through intermediate tracking and notification devices, and if part of the tracking and notification devices breaks down, the network topology is automatically modified, enabling to preserve operating capacity of the remaining part of the system.

EFFECT: possibility of identifying an emergency site in order to make accurate and addressed recommendations to users of a life safety system.
