FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to environmental biotechnology and can be applied for rational use of biogas during sewage treatment. The method of splitting biogas and purifying components thereof involves treating biogas with a monoethanolamine solution which absorbs carbon dioxide gas; the obtained monoethanolamine solution with the absorbed carbon dioxide gas is taken for regeneration, where by heating and reducing pressure, carbon dioxide gas is desorbed therefrom; further, the carbon dioxide gas is cooled, undergoes biological deodorisation and treated with an oxidant, and methane extracted from the biogas is recycled. Treatment with an oxidant is carried out in two steps: at the first step, atomic oxygen is used and at the second step atomic oxygen and atomic chlorine are used.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain carbon dioxide gas of high quality, which enables use thereof for food and medical purposes.
