FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy, and namely to continuous casting of metals to casting mould with direct cooling in order to obtain an ingot or item containing at least two layers. Plant includes at least one cooled division wall separating the inlet part of casting mould at least into two metal supply chambers. Metal is supplied to chambers in order to form inner layer and at least one outer layer. Division wall has contact surface to metal of outer layer, which is diverted at an angle downwards from metal of outer layer. In middle part of division wall the angle has higher value in comparison to the angle in the area adjacent to each of ends of division wall.
EFFECT: plant is usable for combined casting of metals having similar shrinkage factors and minimises problems of mutual adhesion of layers in final ingot or rolled products obtained from such an ingot.
