SUBSTANCE: there are presented enzymes: hydrogenase and dehydrogenase recovered from Thermococcus onnurineus NA1 and having the sequences presented in the description, as well as genes coding them. What is described is a vector containing said genes combined in the cluster CODH-MCH-MNH3. What is created is a host cell containing said vector. There are presented method for producing hydrogen involving the stages as follows: preparing a medium in a cultivation bottle, cultivating the recombinant host cell or the strain Thermococcus onnurineus NA1 in the presence of carbon monoxide, recoverying hydrogen from the cultivation bottle.

EFFECT: invention enables the most effective way to produce hydrogen by microbiological technique.
