SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, specifically to mutant proteins involved in production of L-valine, and can be used to produce L-valine in Corynebacterium glutamicum. Disclosed are mutant proteins of modified small subunit of acetohydroxy acid synthase (ilvN) with amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 1, in which the amino acid corresponding to position 44 is replaced with alanine, and the amino acid corresponding to position 42 in the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 to valine.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain modified ilvN, which increase production of L-valine in Corynebacterium glutamicum.
