FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: method to remove hanging icicles and ice nodes on building roofs is carried out by their drop down and their damage as they land down. In the beginning of their falling from a roof, a meeting with a fixed object is provided for them on the way of their movement, for instance, with a buffer screen, then the direction of their movement is changed by the one inclined towards the building wall, and as they reach the edge of the permanent hole in the buffer screen near the wall, through this hole change of their movement is changed for a vertical downward one, and they fall along the wall with guaranteed landing and damage near the wall at the safe distance for pedestrians and other non-protected emergency objects.
EFFECT: reduced labour inputs related to removal of icicles on a building roof.
