FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: brake comprises brake drum with rim, brakes shoes, coupling springs, brake disc and drive, constant voltage source with poles connected to cooler and friction surfaces. Said rim features inner and outer surfaces with cooler. Layer of capillary-porous filler is fitted into recesses on brake shoe bases. Friction linings and metallic friction elements are attached to brake shoes. Cooler is made up of ribbed ring from capillary-porous material with inner cylindrical surface electrically insulated from drum rim outer surface, wherein shifted through different-diameter holes are made with capillary-porous cylindrical elements fitted therein. Brake shoe base recesses accommodate capillary-porous material layer with electrically-isolated back layer connected, together with cooler, to constant voltage source negative pole. Brake drum rim friction and metallic friction elements surfaces are connected to source positive poles.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of braking.
