FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in high-loaded automotive brakes. Proposed system comprises brake drum with brake souse. Friction linings are secured to brake shoe beds. Driven actuators are arranged between shoes. Cooling assemblies are fitted in said linings and beds. Cooling assemblies are composed of a spherical heat-conducting pipe. Heat-insulation ledge of every said pipe is fitted at the shoe bed. Top ends of said pipes incorporate sleeves with through lengthwise jet openings fitted therein are made flush with working surfaces of said linings. Method of forced cooling consists in arrangement of cooling assemblies with through lengthwise jet openings on the side of drum rim squeezing and its free edge in lines along brake shoe length and operation of the confuser effect while other lines of cooling assemblies run on diffuser effect.
EFFECT: enhanced operating performances, longer life.
