FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method is intended for producing tanks, pipelines and other equipment related with cryogenic substances. Structure with preset wall thickness and length are made. Grooving for welding is performed. Structure is made by welding using adding material from alloy FeNi 36 and weld reinforcement. Then, weld deposited bead is subjected to cold processing by pressure to reduce thickness in seam area. Seam area is thermally treated to obtain ultimate tensile strength or yield strength, or both, equal to or exceeding said magnitudes of the main material.
EFFECT: high-strength weld joints.
