FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to chemical-pharmaceutical industry and concerns a method for preparing 3,28-betulin disulphate - a biologically active substance being a complement inhibitor and being of the utmost interest for medicine. Betulin is sulphated in 1,4-dioxane by the complex of SO3-dioxane at temperature 50-60°C for 3-4 hours; then the reaction mixture is cooled to 15-20°C, dissolved by the 2-fold volume of 75% aqueous ethanol solution containing 4% sodium hydroxide; an inorganic portion is separated; betulin disulphate is separated in the form of sodium slat after boiling out of a mother solution.
EFFECT: improved ecological compatibility ensured by substitution of toxic reagents.
