SUBSTANCE: disclosed group of inventions include a method and an apparatus for continuous monitoring of the physical state of buildings and/or structures, involving obtaining a system of characteristics which reflect the physical state of a building or structure exposed to vibrations from assemblies and/or mechanisms which are a source of vibrations, using a group of three-component seismic sensors, characterised by that at the preliminary stage of investigation, based on recorded data of seismic sensors, spectral analysis is performed, from which a set of values of frequency and amplitude of vibrations caused by assemblies and/or mechanisms in different modes and natural vibrations of the building or structure are determined; at the next stage, curves of change in amplitude of vibration for the selected set of frequencies at each moment in time are plotted and changes in amplitude values of natural frequencies of the building or structure caused by vibrations from assemblies and/or mechanisms are used to evaluate the effect of operation of the assemblies and/or mechanisms on the physical state of the building or structure, and changes in values of amplitude of vibrations at frequencies associated with operation of mechanisms and/or assemblies are used to evaluate their physical state.
EFFECT: continuous monitoring of the state of buildings and structures by evaluating the effect of operation of assemblies and mechanisms on the physical state of the diagnosed building or structure.
