FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: chronic toxic arterial hypertension and cardiopathy is simulated by the daily introduction of a mercury chloride solution 0.5 mg/kg on a metal basis once a day in stomach of experimental animals. A unit of the solution 0.2 ml is equal to mercury 0.1 mg. The introduction is performed for 30 days.
EFFECT: method enables model reproductibility, provides the development of nonreversible hypertension and cardiopathy that is useful for the development and seeking of agents for treatment and prevention of said pathology.
