FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: method for random access in a wireless communication system, comprising a base station module and a wireless terminal, involves steps for detecting, in the wireless terminal, first information relative a first signature used to perform first random access, and second information relative a second signature used to perform second random access, wherein the second information is received from the base station module. One of the first information and second information is then selected and third information is transmitted, which must be transmitted to the base station module when performing random access using other information which was not selected at the selection step, to the base station module during or after completing random access using information selected at the selection step.

EFFECT: providing efficient utilisation of signatures which must be used for random access, possibility of fast freeing up of a signature which must ignored or freed.
