SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry. The chewing gum contains a base chewing gum composition and a modifier. The chewing gum base composition includes a base, a sweetener and a taste-and-aroma additive. The modifier is encapsulated to produce a modifier with interaction delay and mixed with the chewing gum mass. The modifier with interaction delay causes breakdown of the base chewing gum composition after its consumption. The modifier with interaction delay is represented by an encapsulated enzyme or encapsulated metal salt. The enzyme is chosen form proteases, lipases and amylases. The metal salt is chosen from sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium carbonates.
EFFECT: invention allows to produce a chewing gum with after-consumption breakdown capability to be easily removed from various surfaces.
