FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method of continuous austenitic rolling of continuously cast rough strip of thickness smaller than 300 mm, preferably smaller than 150 mm, in thickness reduction stage at, at least, one rolling mill including several stands arranged one after the other consists in rolling said strip to hot-rolled strip with final thickness of 0.5-15 mm without gap between casting unit and rolling mill to reduce rough strip thickness 6 at every rolling mill (W, W1, W2, W3) in n reduction steps. Note here that the number of n steps is defined subject to condition (I).
EFFECT: lower capital costs, higher efficiency.
