FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to containers for transportation and temporary storage of spent nuclear fuel (SNF). The container cover for transportation and storage of SNF contains a central carrier pipe of corrosion-resistant steel, on which sections fastened among themselves are mounted, each section is made of two stainless steel spacer grids, hexagonal pipes are located between them for placing fuel assemblies with neutron protection and installed in relation to the axis of the central pipe in two circular rows. The sections are mounted on a base consisting of a spacing support with holes. Between the spacing gratings, heat-transmitting disks are installed in parallel, and steel racks are installed parallel to the hexagonal pipes. The neutron protection is installed inside each edge of the pipe in the form of a plate of boron-containing composite.
EFFECT: invention allows to place the maximum number of irradiated fuel assemblies of reactors in the container cover.
