SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of processing faults in data exchange devices in a network, which are connected by mutual redundant dual communication lines - operating communication line and backup communication line, wherein the condition of the connection of the dual communication lines in the data exchange devices is detected; when the operating communication line is in a faulty condition and the backup communication line is in a connection condition, the backup communication line is switched to the operating communication line. The invention discloses a system for processing faults and an Ethernet network data exchange device. Using a ring structure of mutual redundant dual communication lines in the invention, when there are multipoint errors, network accessibility is guaranteed by switching to the backup communication line. The time for eliminating the fault in the network is reduced by switching in mutual redundant communication lines.

EFFECT: providing a method of processing faults in an Ethernet network, when faults occur in multiple data exchange devices.
