FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas generators to be used in firefighting devices, for example, for inflation of rescue means. Proposed source comprises case with cover, bottom and gas outlets on side surface. Working and initiating charges are mad from pyro compositions. Filter is arranged on working charge side and face surfaces. Initiating charge is arranged along working charge axis and made up of axially symmetric layer with layers extending therefrom toward periphery. Working charge surface is armored by metal sleeve with perforated edges on gas outlet side. Initiating charge axially symmetric layer is arranged between two sleeves. One of the latter, perforated sleeve, is arranged on working charge side. Case cover and bottom are coupled by axial rod with other sleeve fitted thereon. Gas outlets are plugged by readily collapsible notched metal caps. Corrugated spreader is arranged around case side surface to makes gas outlets located opposite channels formed by crimps.
EFFECT: better performances, higher safety.
