FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to stone working and may be used for sawing hard stones by diamond disc cutter. Proposed method comprises clamping workpiece at machine tool, fitting abrasive stone with hardness exceeding that of workpiece in cutting zone, rotating the diamond tool and displacing workpiece and tool relative to each other. Note here that abrasive stone surface is concaved toward diamond disc feed direction to radius equal to that of said disc while abrasive stone is fitted on workpiece on side disc escapes from cutting zone. Said abrasive stone features convex shape with radius equal to that of diamond disc.
EFFECT: higher surface quality.
