FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in fixation of a moment of damage, measurement of voltages and currents of main harmonics in emergency and pre-emergency modes, identification of emergency components of measured voltages and currents, conversion of measured values and their emergency components using produced voltage and current models of the line into voltages and currents of areas of suspected damage. Using models of line branches, currents and voltages observed in the end of the line circuit branches with multisided supply are recalculated to their suggested values in a circuit assembly. On the basis of calculation results, a damaged branch is selected, and the remaining part of the circuit is equivalented accordingly. As a result of serial conversions a line with multisided supply is reduced to a line with double-sided supply with an area of damage. Further the area of damage is identified in accordance with the model of the produced line.
EFFECT: improved accuracy due to application of its voltage and current measurement results at all ends of a line.
