FIELD: measurement; electric power industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurements in the electric power industry when determining the point of damage of a power transmission line. Essence: phase currents of emergency and pre-emergency modes are measured at the beginning of the controlled power transmission line, purely emergency mode currents at the measurement point are determined as the difference of the corresponding values of the emergency and pre-emergency modes, calculating pre-emergency voltage, as well as emergency and purely emergency voltages of direct reverse and zero sequences. Reactive parameter of the assumed point of damage is formed and the point at which the reactive parameter takes on a zero value is taken as the point of damage. At the same time by visual monitoring of voltages of oscillograms of emergency event or by obtaining of signal on malfunction in measuring circuits of voltage of remote protection device of power transmission line the damage in measuring circuits of voltage is fixed. Direction of the transmitted power along the power transmission line is determined based on the data of the pre-emergency mode. Proceeding from the direction of transmitted power along the power transmission line, calculation of pre-emergency voltage, as well as emergency and purely emergency voltages of direct reverse and zero sequences is performed. In calculations, measured values of phase currents of emergency and pre-emergency modes are used, as well as values of currents of purely emergency mode, information on parameters of sources at the ends of the power transmission line, bypass connections of the power transmission line and the power transmission line itself. Reactive parameter of the assumed point of damage is formed using the measured currents and calculated voltages.

EFFECT: providing determination of the point of damage of a power transmission line in case of damage in voltage measuring circuits.
