FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: passive alternating magnetic field sensor has a substrate and at least one magnetosensitive element made from multilayer or volumetric magnetoelectric composite material containing magnetostrictive and piezoelectric phases, on which current-conducting linings are deposited. The sensor also has a permanent magnet whose magnetic field vector is codirectional with the polarisation vector of the piezoelectric phase of the magnetosensitive element. Increase in sensitivity and widening of the range of measured magnetic field values is carried out by achieving maximum magnetoelectric effect in the detecting element of the passive alternating magnetic field sensor.
EFFECT: design of an alternating magnetic field sensor which does not require additional power, high sensitivity and wider range of measured alternating magnetic fields.
