METHOD OF DIAGNOSING PAIN SYNDROME IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC PELVIC PAIN SYNDROME Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61B8/00

Abstract RU 2464933 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to urology and can be applied for diagnostics of pain syndrome in patients with syndrome of chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS). Examination is performed in "B" mode with application of duplex scanning of arteries and veins of levator ani by means of transrectal sensor with frequency 7.5-7.8 MHz, which is introduced into patient's rectum after cleansing enema and emptying urinary bladder in position of patient lying on left side with bent to abdomen legs. Gel-filled condom, on which gel is applied as well, is put on transrectal sensor. Plane is scanning is transversal, long axis of transrectal sensor being oriented along long axis of patient's body. If Vps indices in arteries of levator ani increase by 0.46 cm/sec and Pi indices increase by 1.35 c.u., with unchanged indices Ved, Ri and D. If in veins of levator ani indices Vps, Ved and Pi increase by 0.9 cm/sec, 1.11 cm/sec and 0.62 c.u. respectively, indices Ri and D reduce by 0.12 c.u. and 0.14 mm respectively, pain syndrome in patients with chronic pelvic pain syndrome is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase diagnostics accuracy due to ultrasonic examination of state of levator ani, lifting anus in patients.
