FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to injection syringes. An injection syringe comprises a cylinder and an axially movable needle arranged near a proximal end of the cylinder and capped with a rotated safety cap which when rotating makes the needle moving axially backwards. Thereby a pointed distal end of the needle breaks through a packer insert arranged near the proximal end of the cylinder. A piston rod extends through a distal end of the cylinder. The piston rod has a coupler on its proximal end with a pin-point which when the piston rod advancing, at first breaks through a cylinder end cap arranged on the distal end of the cylinder, and at the end of its advance gears into the packer insert arranged at the proximal end of the cylinder and having an internal cavity wherein the pin-point of the coupler penetrates and thereby couples the needle and the piston rod so that the needle is pulled back after injection due to pulling the piston rod back into the cylinder.
EFFECT: invention provides needle protection after the use of the syringe that eliminates a risk of injuries, as well as uncontrolled distribution of the preparation residuals from the syringe.
