FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves supply of liquid cast iron and scrap metal, and slagging materials to converter, oxygen blowdown of metal from above through submersible tuyere, change of oxygen flow rate and tuyere position above molten metal level during blowdown process. After oxygen blowdown of metal is completed, partial slag removal is performed and nitrogen blowdown of metal is performed from above through submersible tuyere with intensity of 1000…1200 m3/min with duration of 1.5…2.0 minutes. Position of tuyere of 0.4…0.6 m above metal level is provided during nitrogen blowdown of metal.
EFFECT: reduction of content of non-metallic inclusions appearing at metal deoxidation.
