FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: technique is based on the morphological examination involving determining general structuring time, structuring front path in V-dehydration of biological fluid of nasal secretion. An integral process assessment criterion in health, acute or chronic inflammation of paranasal sinuses is a structuring rate calculated by formula: Vstr=Sstr/Tstr wherein Tstr is general structuring time including ground imaging of a fascia to match with free water evaporation; Sstr is radial structuring front path of the biological fluid during general structuring time. If observing the structuring rate Vstr within the range of 0.1-0.2 mm/min, a normal state is diagnosed. The structuring rate Vstr within the range of 0.1-0.08 mm/min enables diagnosing the presence of acute rhinosinusitis. The structuring rate Vstr within the range of 0.08-0.04 mm/min enables diagnosing the presence of chronic rhinosinusitis.
EFFECT: use of the declared technique enables higher diagnostic accuracy of acute and chronic rhinosinusitis.
